Here's an op-ed I co-wrote that was just published in the Christian Science Monitor today - 1.11.10
To jumpstart US job market, turn workers into owners
Many Americans build wealth through their home. Why not through work?

Hello, USFWC members -
Worker cooperatives represented in force at this year's NCBA conference in Washington, DC in early May. With 13 of the 151 attendees at the conference, it’s possible that the worker co-op sector is entirely responsible for the conference's 10% attendance growth from last year.
Hello, Fellow Cooperators!
I am back in the Federation Office after a brief hiatus and enjoying my new position as Membership Coordinator! Exciting projects have included:
- collecting economic data on our member workplaces to take baby steps toward joint purchasing and getting a sense of our economic impact as an organization and as a movement.
As part of our efforts to keep in closer touch with members and friends, we've started a staff blog (only 5 years after the rest of the world discovered blogs!). We'll use this venue for updates, brainstorms, big ideas, little ideas and discussions (comments are enabled and moderated).
