Common Ground Wellness Cooperative

Common Ground Wellness Cooperative is a collectively managed business looking for a Finance Coordinator to oversee daily operations and the general financial health of the organization. The finance coordinator works as part of the management team.

 

Common Ground Wellness Cooperative provides a full spectrum of healing opportunities for mind and body through our bathhouse and various practitioners in the Alberta Arts neighborhood in Portland, Oregon.

Position Details:

– 25 to 32 hours per week

– Weekly till and bank deposit duties

– Coordinate practitioner payouts

– Run bi-weekly payroll

– Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management

– Daily updates to Quickbooks

– Monthly reconciliation of accounts.

– Prepare monthly financial reports for board, ,staff and practitioner meetings.

– Attend and participate in staff meetings, practitioner meetings, Board meetings, and other meetings as needed.

– Ensure at least one other person is cross-trained in job responsibilities.

– Coordinate with the Management Team and Board of Directors on financial planning and co-op development

– Prepare annual budgets and revolving cash flow reports

– Understand liability accounts (credit cards and loans) and coordinate refinancing when necessary

 

Required:

– At least 4 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience

– Excellent financial management, coordination, budgeting and administration skills

– Strong written and oral communication skills

– Hard-working, self-disciplined, and able to work well under pressure

– Excellent direct communication skills and ability to manage expectations

– Ability to manage multiple tasks, including follow-through and tracking

– Proficiency in Excel

– Proficiency in accounting software

 

Preferred:

-Experience with QuickBooks accounting software

-Experience in Mindbody or other cloud based point of sales systems

-Experience in Cooperative business

 

Compensation:

-$18 to $20/hr, depending on experience

-Monthly massage, acupuncture, chiropractic or other wellness session

-Paid time off accrues immediately at .058 hours per hour worked, available after 90 days employment
