Join the Worker Co-op Conversation on Bluesky!

Hey everyone!  My name is Raquel Navarro, and I’m your Communications Coordinator at the USFWC.  You may or may not know me personally, but I work behind the scenes on our social media, website and email newsletters every day.

Technology is always changing in nature and ownership, as both a tool for organizing people toward a more just world and sadly also, a tool for the ultra-rich to control the public opinion toward division and hate.

With these changes in mind, USFWC is now changing up the social platforms we use to connect with our members and the public.

Cooperatives all over the world have been leaving X (formerly Twitter) in favor of platforms that align with transparency and cooperation, and we’re taking that step too.

We’re ditching the fascist platform in favor of Bluesky, where you can now follow our latest worker co-op news and even follow entire “starter packs” of worker cooperative businesses across the U.S.

The Cooperative Digital Infrastructure Manifesto introduced in 2024 encourages our cooperative networks to “Promote solutions that are FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).”

X has only gotten less accessible for the normal user and more favorable for paid / “verified” users since the Musk takeover.  As a grassroots organization dedicated to worker power, we’re more interested in having conversations about how to transform our economy than paying billionaires for internet clout.

So join the conversation on Bluesky!  And tag us in posts about worker co-ops, solidarity economy and union solutions to our everyday problems.

In addition to Bluesky, follow our latest on

and sign up for our monthly worker co-op newsletter here.
