2020 required action in all ways: financial and technical assistance for our worker co-ops, education for the government and finance providers, and direct advocacy to ensure that our most affected and most vulnerable communities  were taken care of through the compounding effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, attacks on Black, Brown, Indigenous and Immigrant communities, and the climate change.

In this first Worker Co-op Advocacy Quarterly Update, we heard from worker owners Cat Murcek from the Samakaya Yoga and Scoliosis Collective/NYC NOWC Advocacy Council and Kirk Vartan from A Slice of New York, as well as cooperative updates from  Kate LaTour of NCBA CLUSA, local government partnerships with Zen Trenholm of DAWI, and a look at our year in advocacy from USFWC Policy Director  Mo Manklang. Watch the recording to learn about worker co-op advocacy and public policy work with federal, state, and local government, and how the worker co-op movement is rising to address critical needs through economic justice and partnerships with movements. .
